No, there is no entry fee to attend the festival. However, online registration is mandatory for every individual entering the venue.
Is accommodation and food free of cost?
Yes, meals will be provided free of charge to all registered participants.
For the three-day program, a nominal accommodation fee of ₹1000 per person applies. This includes lodging in the designated Tent City, hotel rooms, or dharmashalas. Accommodation will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis through the official website.
How to Reach Jaisalmer?
Jaisalmer is well connected through multiple modes of transport:
By Rail: Jaisalmer Railway Station (Station Code: JSM) is connected to major cities.
By Air: Flights operate to Jaisalmer Airport (JSA) via Jaipur, Delhi, and Ahmedabad.
By Road: Regular buses and taxis are available from major cities of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Barmer.
What Should I Carry?

Is this event open to non-Jains?
Yes. The Mahotsav is open to all devotees who wish to witness the celebrations and participate with reverence and devotion.
Is there any age restriction?
There is no age restriction. However:
• Children below 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Where can I find the detailed day-to-day program?
The complete three-day schedule will be available in the “Program” section on the official Chadar Mahotsav website. A printed copy of the daily schedule will also be available at the registration desk during the event.
Is there an official WhatsApp group for the Mahotsav?
Yes. Official WhatsApp groups are being created to share timely updates, announcements, and opportunities for seva (service). All registered participants will receive an invitation link via SMS or email.
Where can I find information about parking, drop-off, and shuttle services?
Parking areas, shuttle routes, and designated drop-off points will be clearly marked at the venue. Detailed information will also be provided in the “Logistics” section of the website. Volunteers will be present to guide participants on-site. Shuttle services will operate regularly between the main event venue, Tent City, and key locations across Jaisalmer.
Where can I find accommodation details for the event?
Accommodation information — including both paid and complimentary options such as dharmashalas and Tent City — will be available in the “Stay” section of the website. Registered participants opting for accommodation (₹1000 per person for three days) will receive booking confirmation via email, WhatsApp, or SMS.
Where can I find information about meals during the festival?
All registered participants will be provided meals free of cost. The meal timings and locations of the dining halls will be shared on the website and displayed at the venue.
Will there be arrangements for devotees observing special fasts such as Ekasana, Beasana, Ayambil, or Tithi?
Yes. Special arrangements will be made for devotees observing Ekasana, Beasana, Ayambil, or Tithi. Kindly inform the Seva Desk or Registration Desk in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made in the dining area.
